A story in today’s Sun (http://www.thesun.co.uk/sol/homepage/news/article785655.ece) reports how a paramedic turned firefighter has been disciplined for helping accident victims beyond basic first aid. So let’s see – let them suffer versus helping them simply because the brigade’s insurance doesn’t cover him? Well, he could get insured – for a measely £300 a year. But HR would rather discipline him for having common sense and a conscience! Lets hope they’re never in a serious accident, and lo and behold they can’t be saved because of following the rules to a T – idiots!
